Understanding The Process

So what is.... "The Process"????

Content.....Traffic.....Presell.....Monetize

(This is it.....Now lets take a closer look at it.)

CONTENT

......the foundation of your site.

Surfers seek information and solutions. So start where they start with information which is "Content".

Your goal is to offer great information (Content)...develop a great relationship with your visitor...make them feel they've come to the right place.....part of The Process

High-value information (Content) gives you credibility plus loyalty and trust from your visitor. Remember the visitor is not searching for you or your business. They are searching for information that is going to solve a problem or further their education. Make them feel they came to the right place by offering high-value information (Content). Become that knowledgeable friend/expert...give them a reason to return.

So...Publish high-value Content related to the niche that you know and love....Content that Over delivers what your visitors seek. More is better....a big part of The Process

You must offer high-value Content....information that visitors are looking for. At the same time, that Content must be written properly to include profitable keywords that will rank at the Search Engines. This is the only approach that works...it's the way the Net is meant to be used....unless of course you want to spend thousands of dollars to generate some type of exterior traffic....but this would only be a temporary short-term solution that will lead to failure.

TRAFFIC

......the life blood of every online business

Would you agree that the life of any business whether it is online or offline is Traffic. Would you also agree that a Web site without Traffic is pointless. In fact a business online without Traffic may not really exist.

In the online world, no one just happens to walk past, see your business and enter your Web site. Online, you must generate your own Traffic. There are many ways of generating traffic. One of the most effective ways is through Search Engines. This is done with great value content and keywords that is appealing to the Search Engines. So the Key to "Traffic" is the Words.

That brings us back to "Content"...Keywords in your content. Keywords depend on your Site Concept (your site's theme or niche). Keywords are specific to your theme. If your content is about "Recipes" then possibly "Diet" is a keyword or "Dessert" Recipes would be a keyword.

(Side Bar) A keyword is the words or phrase a surfer enters at the engines when searching for a specific topic. Most searchers quickly learn to enter two or more words in their searches in order to get better (more precise) results. We call that entry a "keyword" even if it has 5 words in it.

Each page of content you write, will have a specific keyword. Your next page may be on the type of utinsels, pans, and bowls needed to prepare those "Diet Recipes". Your keyword could be "Cooking Utensils", "Pots and Pans", "Glass Bowls" or all of them. The more pages with great content in your site and with the right keywords the better chance the searcher will find you. This is generating traffic.

Presell

......it's all about building trust with your audience

Selling is "not" your site's first priority. (In fact, you may decide not to sell anything and become an "infopreneur" instead!) Your #1 priority is to Presell through the delivery of the information that visitors seek. Back to that high-value "Content" again.

Effective Preselling creates an open-to-buy frame of mind in your visitors and "gets the click" to your income-generating source (whatever your monetization models may be). That is what produces high Conversion Rates (the percent of visitors who convert into dollars) and generates more income for you.

Monetize

......the fun part...turn those visitors into revenue

There is a vast number of ways you can monetize your traffic....and with many of these models you do not need your own product or service. And you shouldn't use just one monetization model...diverse monetization works best in the long run.

Think about potential income streams, monetization models, NOW. You won't start them all at the same time, of course. But you must beable to identify enough good monetization models to know that your successful Content+Traffic+Presell site is going to have several ways to convert Presold traffic into dollars.

Monetization Models

Google Adsense:......Google Ads
Affiliate Links:..........Affiliate marketing or referral marketing
Finder Relationship:..To earn a finder fee
Hardgoods:.............A physical product
Service:.................Lawyer, accountant, copywriter
E-goods:................Electronic books

It is too early to monetize your Web site but you must find those monetization models now and understand how they will "fit" with your Site Concept, before you commit to your domain name. (We will talk about domain name later)
