Recognizing Your Site Concept

A great "Site Concept" must be in demand. (A reasonable number of people must be searching for information about your topic.) If your theme is to narrow (example, an unknown island called Costma off the coast of Florida) there is not enough demand (the number of searchers searching the word Costma) for you to monetize, even if your entire (tiny) market finds you.

A great "Site Concept" must not be too broad. (Too many sites with the same Concept)...The competition will be too severe. For example, it is impossible to own the theme of "travel" as it is highly competitive. But creating a site about traveling to one specific known island is a better choice. The competition will be less intense. It will be easier for your well written content pages to rank high with the free Search Engines.

Those who find you will be highly targeted. They will be much more interested in your Content. It is far easier to Presell those searching for topics (Keywords) related to narrow themes than broad ones.

If you don't already know what your Site Concept will be, choose a list of potential Site Concept. Make this list as long as possible keeping in mind....What do you know and love. What have you learned on your job. What is your hobbies. Think.....you may know a lot about something you've overlooked. Then choose the top 3 from your list.

One person said the knew very little about anything and had so little time because she spent most of her day cutting and styling hair at the beauty salon she worked.

Hey...What about a online magazine about hair styles and hair products.....

Everyone knows something about something and most of the time it is right in front of us. Or you can get help with your Site Concept at Niche Content

Once you have figured out your top three themes remember not too narrow, not too broad, you will Brainstorm it...

What that means is you will enter the demand data (all related keywords) of your top 3 Site Concept in a program call Keyword Selector Tool.

With this you will be able to evaluate and choose your Site Concept based upon the number of Keywords generated for each topic.......A priceless Tool....... Click Here to try it

Just enter a keyword relating to your concept and click the arrow button. The results will be the number of searchers searching for that topic within the last 30 days.

This will tell us the demand of that topic or if there even is a demand. If you type in the keyword "Costma Island" you will find there is no demand at all. If you type in Keyword "Caribbean Travel" you will find the demand to be over 25,000. If your pan is to go with a narrow specific topic, read the article on Vertical Search
